How EDU works

Life after school is the summit. EDU is the guide.

Three steps take a learner from 'I have no idea' to 'I know where I'm going, and I'm ready for it': find your purpose, plan your path, prepare for the route.

A winding path up a line-drawn mountain with three numbered stations and learners climbing towards a flag at the summit.

1 · PURPOSE. Define the summit. Discover what you're naturally good at.

2 · PATH. Chart the route. Choose the subjects and careers that fit.

3 · PREPARE. Train for the climb. Build the skills to get there.

Every EDU assessment, tool and course belongs to one of these three steps. Simple on purpose.

Assessments & Questionnaires

Step 1: Find your PURPOSE

Most teenagers are asked 'what do you want to be one day?' before anyone helps them answer a better question first: who are you? EDU's assessments answer that question properly.

Career Compass. Start here.

EDU's new assessment, developed for South African learners and backed by science and the latest matching technology. It matches a learner's strengths and interests to the careers and subject choices that fit them, in a report the family will actually understand.

R 295

personalised report in minutes.

What you get: a report that makes sense. No jargon and no vague personality types. Clear recommendations a family can act on.

Subject & Career Guidance Hub

Step 2: Plan your PATH

The Guidance Hub turns the learner's report into real decisions: which subjects to take, what to study, and which doors those choices open.

The right choice in Grade 9 saves years later.

Life Skills Development

Step 3: PREPARE for your Route

Knowing the destination is half the work. EDU's Life Skills courses build the person making the journey: confident, focused and ready. Not one day. Now.

24 Life Skills courses across ten skills areas, chosen to cover the skills that matter. Pick what each learner needs now, whatever their grade.

Communication Emotional intelligence Finance Leadership Life skills Project management Study skills The world of work Thinking skills Understanding the environment

Not sure where to begin? These five favourites are named for grades, but every course is open to every learner:

Grade 8 · Managing Me. Self-management and emotional strength for the first year of high school.

Grade 9 · Magnificent Me. Leadership, values and clear thinking, in the year of subject choice.

Grade 10 · More of Me. Core skills for creative and logical work, and study methods that stick.

Grade 11 · Multifaceted Me. The future-life skills nobody teaches: better decisions, resilience, money.

Grade 12 · Masterly Me. Independence: CVs, interviews, personal finance and life after school.

CAPS-aligned content that works hand in hand with Life Orientation at school. The full course library is also available in Afrikaans.

The Life Skills courses, confidence, emotional intelligence, study methods, money smarts, have no age limit either. Many are at their most useful just after school, when life suddenly demands them.

It varies from child to child; most learners finish in about half an hour, at their own pace. The personalised report arrives in minutes.

The report goes to your child, the person who completes the assessment. It's designed to be read together, and that conversation is where it earns its keep.

Yes. Schools run EDU for a single grade or all five, in class, at home or blended. See EDU for schools for what your school gains, or start a conversation.
